Jubilate’s Supper Concert was a great success, with an appreciative audience enjoying the singers’ performances of the “Top Ten” of their repertoire, joining in a Singalong of songs from “South Pacific”, and a ‘Ploughman’s and Puds’ Supper during the interval. £435 was raised for church funds.

During the month of September, as part of the Synod’s Prayer Initiative, the church was open each day for Prayer and Reflection, and comments from the Visitors’ Book showed that this was much appreciated. We have decided to make our Prayer Space and Prayer Wall permanent features and to keep our church open each day.

Kitchens around Welshpool have been busy with home cooks baking for the church’s annual 100 Cakes Sale. Cakes, scones and cookies of all shapes and sizes were produced for the stall yesterday, 3rd August, raising over £100 which will be used for the cost of transporting the children’s Christmas Shoeboxes for the Samaritan’s Purse Appeal.

The church’s Jubilate Singing Group recently held a fundraising Sunday Picnic Lunch event in the garden of one of the members.  It was organised by another member whose brother is waiting for a donated kidney, and raised over £200 for Kidney Research.
