Singing for Pleasure!

100 Cakes!

The church’s bakers are busy planning what they are going to make for their annual ‘100 Cakes Sale’ which takes place on Saturday morning 14th July. Coffee and tea will be served to customers, and all proceeds will be used for transporting the Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Shoeboxes to children in poorer parts of the world.

Summer Serenade

Jigsaw Sound, a mixed voice choir of over 50 voices from Shrewsbury, presented an enjoyable and  varied programme of songs for the church’s Summer Serenade on Saturday 9th June. The concert was well attended and raised over £300 for the Shrewsbury Food Hub (the charity chosen by the singers) and for church funds.

Good news for lovers of Roger Jones’ musicals!

Annie Routley and members of the Christian Music Ministries team will be at Welshpool the weekend of 20th and 21st October, when, on the Saturday, Annie will lead a “Musical in a Day” workshop, teaching Roger’s musical “Jairus’ Daughter”, with a performance in the evening, and the following morning, the Team will lead worship at 10.45am. Something for Everyone on Christmas Eve

Our Christmas Eve services begin with a traditional Service of Nine Lessons and Carols at 10.45am, and continue at 4pm with the Crib Service, especially geared to families, when the children will be invited to place figures in the Nativity Scene. The final service of the day, Midnight Communion, begins at 11.30pm.
